Let’s start with the basics. Who? What? When? Where? How?

WhoWho is included in a newborn session?

All immediate family members! Mom, Dad and siblings.

What? What do I photograph during a newborn session?

I am a lifestyle newborn photographer. This means that although there is some general posing and guidance, a lot of the session is go with the flow. My goal is to capture who this new addition is and how they have changed your lives for the better. I capture the sweet goodness of new siblings interacting and those tender moments of mommy and daddy lovingly gazing at their newest bundle. These sessions have minimal props (unless provided by the clients). I basically want to freeze time for you in classic and beautiful images. I want to really capture just how tiny and new your little one is because time will pass all too quickly. I want these images to take you back to when your life was changed for the better.

When? When should you book a newborn session

I typically photograph newborns within the first 2 weeks of life. There are always exceptions but 2 weeks is my general guideline. Newborn sessions typically last between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Where? Where can you have a session?

Newborn sessions are held in the clients home. No fuss over trying to get out of the house with a newborn! Let me come to you!

How does it all work?

Newborns run the show! We are on their schedule and we have to be flexible. Sessions can take up to 2 hours if babe needs extra time to eat, a few moments of peace and calm, a diaper change etc. It’s a laid back, go with the flow, capture all of the little details session. To make sure I’m the right newborn photographer for you and your little one, you home does need to have moderate to ample natural light. If you’re concerned about if your home is bright enough, please still contact me! I would be more than happy to discuss it further!
